H-Locked Reduction Sleeves
The use of reduction sleeves allows Techniks hydraulic chucks and milling chucks to hold virtually any tool diameter. Reduction sleeves are sealed for coolant-through tooling. Reduction sleeves with I.D. bore diameters of ½”, or 12mm, and larger are manufactured with our patented TTG-594 compound that adds millions of microscopic teeth to the cutting tool connection producing the highest gripping force of any tool holders and reduction sleeve combination.
What Are Reduction Sleeves?
Reduction sleeves are designed to allow hydraulic chucks and milling chucks to hold multiple tool diameters. They are sealed for coolant-through cutting tools and can be used in roughing or fine-finishing applications.
How Does Reduction Sleeve Work?
The reduction sleeve extends the range of large-diameter I.D. holders. During operation, the only thing you need to do is to slide the appropriate sleeve into the tool holder bore.
Techniks milling chucks are designed with CoolBLAST coolant grooves in the I.D. bore to direct coolant to the cutting area, to assist with chip evacuation. Techniks reduction sleeves can be used to hold almost any diameter of cutting tool.

Our Proprietary TTG-594 compound is embedded in the I.D. bore of the sleeve, creating millions of microscopic teeth and adding bite to the cutting tool/tool holder connection.

Techniks Reduction Sleeves For Milling Chucks
Reduction Sleeves for Milling Chucks provide up to 5X the gripping force of other manufacturers’ ER40 holders to meet the most demanding, high material removal rates such as heavy milling of titanium or other high-temp alloys. A machined bearing cage and high precision, individually matched needle bearings symmetrically placed provide smooth, reliable operation. All Techniks Milling Chucks are designed with CoolBLAST coolant grooves in the I.D. bore to direct coolant to the cutting area and assist with chip evacuation. Reduction sleeves can be used to hold almost any shank diameter.
