Friction bearing nuts will increase the clamping pressure on the shank of the tool up to 25% compared to standard clamping nuts. The bearing reduces friction between the nut and the collet therefore creating more down force on the collet. This nut is recommended for use with high demand drilling, milling, and tapping. The collet must be snapped into the nut for proper assembly.
Use these nuts for spindle speeds below 18,000 RPM. For higher clamping pressure on ER 11, 16 and 20 use our "Power Coat" nut series 411.
* Recommended torque is 80-90% of maximum value.
